WHO IS CIPA?

CIPA is a Canadian association of licensed, retail pharmacies. We sell safe and affordable prescription drugs made by the leading name-brand manufacturers at prices up to 80 percent less than U.S. pharmacies.

CIPA member pharmacies have served more than 10 million patients since the organization's founding in 2002, with a 100% perfect safety record. This makes CIPA an immediate and credible part of the solution to exorbitantly high drug prices in the U.S.

WHAT ONLINE PHARMACIES SHOULD I TRUST?

  • Beware of "rogue" or fraudulent websites that have a Canadian name. These websites:
    • May claim to be a CIPA member without displaying our official CIPA seal or may be using our seal without our permission.
    • May sell substandard and falsified medications made or distributed under unregulated and potentially unsafe methods, or controlled substances such as narcotics.
    • May not require a valid prescription from your doctor, and some have been known to steal personal and payment information.
  • Always verify a website is a current CIPA member before placing an order.
    • CIPA members follow our association's strict policies and procedures designed to rigorously protect your privacy and your safety.
    • Please visit the CIPA Safe Pharmacies page to verify a website is CIPA member pharmacy fully committed to your safety and satisfaction with your daily medications.
    • We encourage customers to verify all websites - even ones that do display the CIPA seal or might have previously been a CIPA member.

WHAT TYPE OF MEDICATIONS CAN I GET FROM A CIPA MEMBER PHARMACY?

CIPA members sell a wide variety of medications taken daily to control a range of health conditions, including:

  • Pharmaceutical and maintenance medications (but not controlled substances) in 30 to 90-day quantities to both Canadian and U.S. citizens.

Each CIPA member uses a licensed pharmacy or government approved fulfillment center.

CIPA certification assures you that the pharmacy is reputable and adheres to stringent safety protocols. CIPA member pharmacies:

  • require valid and signed prescriptions, typically for 30 to 90-day supplies of drugs and health maintenance medications;
  • obtain demographic and medical information from the patient and maintain a health profile with medication history to avoid adverse drug interactions;
  • have a licensed pharmacist on staff for patient consultation;
  • do not sell controlled substances; and
  • ensure patient privacy by following the same stringent confidentiality and safety procedures as U.S. pharmacies.

Additionally, CIPA members do not send any unsolicited email (SPAM) or sell addresses to others. For your safety and privacy, we recommend dealing only with sites displaying the CIPA seal.
